9 Tips for Making Money Online
Almost everyone seems to be looking for ways to make extra money, and a lot of people are looking to the internet to make extra scratch. There are many ways that you can make money online, and these nine tips should give you a very good idea of how you can start making money online today.
1.) eBay. You can make a lot of money with you old and unused items with eBay. You can sell your stuff worldwide on eBay, and you can sometimes make big money doing it. Antiques and collectables that are gathering dust on your closet shelves and in boxes in the attic could bring premium dollars on this online marketplace. You can also sell used name brand and designer clothes and accessories when you get tired of them to make money online.
2.) Craigslist. If you live in an urban area, there is a good chance that you have a local page on craigslist.org. You can make money with this site in a lot of ways. Not only could you find a job or gig to do, but you could also sell your stuff or offer your services here.
3.) Start a blog. There are a lot of ways to make money with a blog, and you need your own blog if you want a piece of some of this income. Once you start your blog, you can add advertisement, join affiliate programs, ask for donations, do paid posts and all sorts of other stuff that can make you some good money.
4.) Sponsored Tweets. You can make money for Tweeting. If you have a good Twitter following, you can sign up with one of the few programs that run sponsored Tweet programs. Depending on the advertiser and the amount of Twitter followers you have, you can make anywhere from a penny a Tweet to thousands of dollars. You may not be able to command the highest rate unless you are a celeb, but even a dollar to write a few words about how much you love a new soda could make it worthwhile.
5.) Freelancing. There are many sites online that connect employers and freelancers. Many of the freelancers on these sites are writers and folks who do web work, but there are all sorts of work out there that you can find and do online. Some of these sites include elance.com and guru.com.
6.) Start your own website. You don’t have to be web savvy. There are plenty of turnkey sites that let you open a store. You market your site and pick and choose what you want to sell, and the folks who you bought the site from take care of everything else. You won’t make as much as you may if you did it all yourself, but you can make a chunk of change this way.
7.) Write and eBook. If you have a story idea or knowledge in a particular subject area, you can write an eBook. Amazon and other sites are making it even easier for writers who want to self-publish and sell their books.
8.) Flip websites. You can buy domains, often on the cheap and sell them for more money. Not every domain you buy will be a winner, but if you follow current events, you have a good chance of scooping up a potentially profitable domain. Buying domains with the name of an up and coming political candidate or that are similar to a hot new website, you can make some extra money.
9.) Buy and sell stock. Online investing can make you big bucks if done right. The good news is that anyone can invest and potentially profit, but the bad news is that you could end up losing money. This doesn’t’ offer guaranteed profit, but it is just one more way to make money online.

Making money through buying and selling stocks seems a pretty dangerous thing. Making money on stocks over the long haul can be a good strategy, but day trading is risky business.

I have seen many of these lists before not the points mentioned here.Selling and buying stocks is a very option, I have made some money out of it, but then its more luck than research! Blogging will definitely not be as lucrative as stock trading initially and also needs a lot of patience and hard work

Ebay has made me quite a good bit of spare cash from selling off all the hundreds of useless things from my years growing up. I keep things in good condition even when not using them so that habit came in handy as I was able to ask for a good price on anything due to their good condition.

I’ve been starting to generate money online through online freelancing. I also have started to create blog for Adsense and a lot more. It just need some open mind and a character that is welling to learn new things to be able to generate income online.
Alright, so the only one I haven’t tried is sponsored Tweets.
When I moved last April I gave most of my stuff to friends, but Craiglist got the rest. $1500 in a couple of days (bed, food processor, some other kitchen gadgets). At least in Vancouver stuff moves fast. I’ve also used it to sell websites/businesses, and get freelance work.
Deadliest is buying/selling stock. I day traded for awhile and made $200-$350 per day… then in one very unfortunate turn of events I lost all my gains. So, I don’t trade anymore :- )

The internet is definitely a great way to make a little extra cash. However, it does require some time and patience to make it happen the way you want it. I’ve tried pretty much everything you’ve listed here except flipping websites and sponsored tweets.
The most profitable making money online method for me would have to be starting a blog and adding advertisement to it. There are plenty of other ways you could make money online but these are 9 very effective methods.

The list of options when it comes to making money online is literally limitless. The road may be a little bit bumpy in the beginning but don’t give up as overnight success simply does not exist. Earning money online is no different than earning money offline. You need passion, persistence, energy and dedication to succeed.
This is a very good list. Among these my favorites are blogging, flipping websites and freelancing. Recently I started with stock trading, but still I am a newbie in that field.

That is a very good list indeed. I think of all the techniques you mentioned, flipping is the easiest and simplest.
But I feel the real key to making money online is to dig deep – whatever strategy one chooses, one should either run it to the ground (and confirm that it doesn’t work) or stick to it till it actually works.

As a beginner, there is a lot of confusion about which way to go. Should it be ebay or amazon affiliate or adsense? What I learnt from my different experiments (many of them utter failure), is to pick a strategy that makes most sense and dig deep. Either run the idea to the ground or make it work. No middle ground. The lukewarm approach to making money online (I will try if this works) is the primary reason many people do not succeed. Wholeheartedly committing to any strategy produces worthwhile results.

I especially think that craigslist is a platform that is under used. I think there is a way to offer your online services there and bring traffic back to your site by offering something of value for free there. I will be exploring Craigslist more for my online business!
