Ian Belanger
He is a 31 year old man from central Maine, US. I have always been into computers, even when I was young and computers were still not very common. I was blessed with excellent parents who have always been very supportive, even when I made bad decisions. For instance, I finished 2nd in my class for GPA. The University of Maine system offers full tuition scholarships to any resident of Maine who finishes 1st or 2nd in their class. I had already planned to go to U of M Orono, which has an excellent engineering department. I had always wanted to study engineering, so I had a full tuition scholarship to the college I wanted to attend.
I will be honest, I did not really put forth a full effort during my high school years, I probably could’ve finished first in my class if I had put forth 100% effort. So I get to college and I thought that I would breeze through, just like I did in high school, boy was I wrong. Within 2 weeks I had already changed my major form mechanical engineering to mechnical engineering technology, which was a much easier major. So my first semester I didn’t do very well, C’s and D’s. I just wasn’t into it. I didn’t want to be there. I wanted to be making money, not going to school more. My parents were also going through a divorce at the time, that probably affected my mood, but it was totally on me. I take full responsablility for my actions. In my 2nd semester, I failed a couple of classes. I had never failed a class in my life.
In order to keep my scholarship I had to manage a C average so after failing 2 classes, my scholarship was gone, that was a costly mistake, very costly. I decided not to go back to school the next year. I went to work out of state, doing air conditioning installation, a very hard and dirty job. I picked up on it very quickly. I was always good at learning different skills quickly, it’s just my nature I guess. I was put in charge of a whole floor on a huge job near Boston after only 3 months of doing this job. It didn’t take me long to figure out that this job wasn’t for me. I didn’t know what I was looking for yet, but I knew it wasn’t this.
I have done many different jobs in my life. I have had my own businesses a couple different times. I did carpentry for myself for a few years. I enjoyed building houses, but I had such a bad back, that my body just couldn’t take the abuse anymore. I missed about 6 months of work after I had my back surgery and I decided it was time for a change. So I started to teach myself how to do web design, graphic arts and animation. I am by no means the best out there, but I am learning something new everyday. I plan to be very good in 6 months time. I will be creating some cartoons in the next few months. They will be posted here on my blog and on YouTube.
I am now a XanGo Independent Distributor and I want to build a huge team. I will use my graphic design skills to place myself above the other successful people in this industry. I want to help many others do the same. That is why I am offering up my services to the first 20 people who join my team. I wish I could do it for more people, but I want my team members to have my full attention. I can only do that for 20 people right now, maybe in the future, I will be able to help more people.
