Blokube Review

Blokube Header

What Is Blokube?

It is a website where you can submit blog posts to be voted on by others. There are a large range of topics that you can select from, such as Business, Blogging, SEO, Social Media,  Marketing, Lifestyle, and many many more!

You can also interact with other users by commenting on their submissions on Blokube or by visiting the actual website from which the post came. But it is much more than just a voting site, it is a Blogging Community!

Who Created Blokube

Blokube Creator Devesh Sharma

Blokube Creator Devesh Sharma

My friend Devesh Sharma from Technshare.com is the creator of Blokube and has designed and/or created many other popular websites/blogs. He knows the web and how to use it to get loads of traffic to websites.

So what is different about Blokube?

Well Blokube is very well respected and often used by many of the top bloggers out there including Ana from TrafficGenerationCafe.com, Mavis Nong from AttractionMarketingOnline.com and Heather Stephens from CleverMarketer.com, just to mention a few.

The best thing about blokube, which is different from many other Blogging Communities/voting sites, is that you can submit your posts without having to also share other posts first. I’ve been on other voting sites where you can not submit a post if you haven’t submitted someone else’s blog post first. This is a huge perk not to have to submit another post before submitting your own.

Many of the features on Blokube are very similar to other social media sites, such as Facebook, but Blokube is geared more towards the Blogging Community.

Here are some of the New Features On Blokube

  • Facebook “Like” Chat Check out all of these features:
  1. Chat Rooms – Create a buzz and gather your friends into a single place using chatrooms. Create permanent, password protected and invitation only chatrooms.
  2. Send File – Send files to each other using the file transfer facility. It’s simple, easy and quick.
  3. Share – Enable you to share, save and distribute your content through Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Digg and many more.
  4. Smilies – Quickly look up available smilies during chat interactions with users.
  5. Audio/video chat  – coming soon
  • Send Invites – You can easily send invites to your friends to join Blokube.
  • Private Messaging – It was added very recently, you can easily send messages to your friends.
  • Auto Image for Submissions – This feature allows you to easily select and set a thumbnail for your story submissions. Thumbnails from the story URL are automatically retrieved and shown to you. Alternatively you can add your own image via file or URL.
  • Wall Activity – There is now a wall where you can post updates and see your friend’s updates! It’s a great way to keep in touch with your friend’s on Blokube so that you never miss a thing.

What are the benefits of getting votes on Blokube?

Aside from the community, you get the social proof of having the number of votes show up on your blog when you have the button. Your post also ranks higher on blokube and your post may get featured if it has enough votes. Your blog will also get new viewers and more exposure!

Also Blokube ranks well on Google. If you use google alerts and have an alert set up for your blog. You will notice, when a post has been submitted to Blokube it is always the top alert on the list! Now that is powerful!

How do you submit a post to blokube?

Blokube Vote Button

Blokube Vote Button

You can submit a post one of two ways, you can add a button on your blog, which is pretty easy to do and then just click it from your post. I have one on all of my posts on the left hand side, you can click the button too! If you’re not a member yet you can join from there or just by going to blokube.com.

If you use the All In One SEO Plugin, it will automatically bring your description and title over to Blokube for you. Just another way that All In One SEO Plugin helps save you time.

The other way that you can submit a post is by going to blokube and submitting a story there. You will see where to do that on the right side of the site above the “top user’s” box.

As you can see Blokube can be a very powerful tool to increase your website traffic and increase your blogs exposure online.

Make sure you comment and share this post with your friends by using the share buttons I have provided for you.

Thanks for reading!

I love Blokube and Dev too!

Can’t remember how I found him but then when I stumbled into Heather’s community there he was again. Guess we just struck up a better relationship so I couldn’t help but check out his site. Although I still am not using it to it’s full potential, I love all the different blog posts you can read all in one place. So many amazing people are a part of this community and Dev is extremely helpful to anyone who may have a question or just need some help.

Thanks for doing this review on Dev’s Blokube community. He deserves all the recognition Ian.

Hi Adrienne,

Yes Dev does deserve recognition. He has helped me with some website customization and his websites are great resources.

I also don’t use Blokube to it’s full potential, but I do read many articles from all of the awesome contributors.

Thanks for commenting Adrienne and have a great day!

Use Blokube and it’s fun.

Had no idea that the All in One SEO plugin that I use automatically submit my posts to Blokube. So now I don’t have to do it manually. Great news!!

Ian Belanger May 24, 2011 at 12:35 PM

Hi Catarina,

All In One SEO Pack doesn’t automatically post your blog post to Blokube. It does however bring your title and description to blokube when you do submit your post there.

Sorry if I made that unclear and I hope this helps you when using blokube.

Thanks for commenting Catarina and have a great day!

That was a great review, Ian! I am definitely not using it to it’s full potential, so I’m glad you included info on how to submit your own posts. I had no idea it could be as easy as placing a button on your own blog.

I also hadn’t really thought of it as a blogging community! I’ll have to check into that aspect of it as well.

What a brilliant post. You should do a series! :) I did a sort of blogging for dummies over on one of the craft forums and I thought it was too simple for them, but the amount of emails I got asking questions just like what you addressed was unbelievable. As young people today we have grown up with computers, but it’s easy to forget that even people just a few years older have not! Really good post! :)

Hey Ian,

Blokube is seriously cool and Dev is a great guy for adding new features regularly to make our experience great there at Blokube. Auto imaga addition is one of the coolest features, among many others, I like about Blokube. Submitting my content to Blokube is the easiest thing, when compared to submissions at other sites. I am glad that I found the Kube :)

Hi Ian,
This is a great review of Blokube. Having just joined this community very recently, I must admit to not knowing the extent of all it’s features. I appreciate you filling me in.

As you pointed out, I like the fact that this isn’t one of those, “I’ll scratch your back, you scratch mine” communities where you have to share another’s content in order to post yours. I believe that, when you are forced to share others content that this becomes automatic — a click here and a click there — and we lose the authenticity of the sharer.

I would much rather have a sincere comment from someone who truly found my post engaging rather than someone who just clicks Share because they had to.

Hats off to Dev for creating this awesome site. And thank you Ian for the great review!
